Thieves that don't care...don't ever stay here.

I booked rooms for my wife and I in one room and 88-yr old parents in another when we came back to Council Bluffs for my dad's high school to honor him (4-6 Dec).

This is only about the thefts... in addition, there were no towels in our room on check-in, our fridge was off and parent's fridge was set to freeze everything, and on day 2 (when they probably stole our items), they didn't even make the bed! (but they changed the towels...probably forgot in their haste to leave with our stuff).

Stole from our rooms, poor service to rooms, mediocre environment at best and management (all the way up the chain) that doesn't care or do anything about the thefts or poor service.

Servers were excellent but the food was not not good. Meat was dry. Cake was dry and hard. We do tip, so it would be nice to at least have water brought to the table.

The 360 Steakhouse at this establishment offers a great view of the Omaha skyline and offers an upbeat selection of American fare. This casino also offers cozy rooms and they are willing to negotiate on the price if you have been up late and just need a place to rest for a little more than a few hours. The venue known as the Stir Cove is really nice for outdoor concerts that bring artists that don't draw enough of a crowd for an event center but are too large to host at a bar venue. The drinks are a bit overpriced at Stir for only being 16oz tall cans of domestic beer. I was also at a concert there last July where the heat index was in the upper 90's and people were being charged for water.

Don't ever stay at this place and be very careful with anything associated with Harrah's.

On the morning we left, both my wife and mom noticed that five total cosmetic items were missing from the two rooms (next to each other). I reported it to manager on duty and then called back next day to find out nothing had been done. That manager also did nothing. I eventually got the assistant hotel manager a few days later to tell me it's the first he'd heard of it and he tried to pass me off to security. I told him to have security contact me and filed an official police report. Never heard back after a week from the hotel, so called Caeasr's corporate direct. They put me through to Loss/Claims and I left a message. No answer back for a week and so I called back and left a detailed message and told them I was going to blog them. Got a call back from a guy that was then extremely attentive. Spent an hour answering their detailed questions (like a cat burglar broke in during the night (I personally suspect staff with access to rooms). Most hilarious question of the interview was, "Do they have safes in the rooms at Harrah's CB?" Actually, "no, they don't." Yes, hard to believe in a casino, but even if they did, would you put all your toiletries in them? Better lock up your dirty underwear as well. He then had to talk to my wife and mom since it were their items and eventually said they'd be sending us checks for the approx value of the items.

Loved our stay here. The pool area is very nice, although more chaise lounge are needed. I understand that this area is soon to be renovated. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The casino area was nice, but I wish there was 3 card poker. Would like to see a better ventilation system for the smoking.

Wow! Except for the last guy being very attentive, this property sucks and I will never stay at another Harrah's or go to Caesar property to stay or gamble. We probably spent over $1,000 there in two days of room, food, drinks and gambling. Low rent hotel and rundown casino. And for all our trouble and their desire to just blow me off, we spent all that time to get back only the approx cost of the items they stole from us.

This casino is not bad. The dealers and security are nice people that are always enjoyable to talk to. They have a decent amount of tablet games, but only have 1 craps table, which is a reason i don't rate them a 4. I never have a problem getting on a 10$ table, but it is always a long wait for the craps table.
